Almond oil -- Almond oil is valued for its moisturizing abilities, especially on chapped hands and dry skin. It’s also considered beneficial in the removal of spots and blemishes, as well as for exfoliating the skin.
Aloe vera -- For more than 2,000 years, aloe vera has been used to clear blemishes, soothe itches and burns, and maintain healthy skin. Legend has it that Cleopatra herself massaged fresh aloe into her skin daily to preserve her beauty. Scientists have also discovered it has anesthetic, anti-bacterial and tissue-restorative properties.
Bayberry -- This herb has long been used for its tonic, stimulant and astringent properties. It’s been used to heal ulcers, cuts, bruises, insect bites and skin inflammations.

Coneflower -- Coneflower has historically been used as a soothing agent for skin afflictions such as eczema and acne, as well as for irritations from insect bites and poisonous plants. Today, it is used more as an antiseptic and to smooth the skin.
Cucumber -- Cucumber has been used for ages to beautify the skin. Its cooling, astringent qualities make it particularly effective in soothing skin abrasions, irritations and burns.

Lavender -- Lavender has many beneficial qualities. It is said to have antiseptic and disinfectant properties believed helpful in healing wounds, sores, skin ulcers, eczema, acne and insect bites. In the Alps, hunters kept lavender nearby to neutralize insect bites. The water of lavender has been used as an eyelid wash and for aromatherapy. Its fragrant aroma is said to calm the nervous system.

St. John’s Wort -- Crusaders in the Middle Ages used the famous red oil of this herb to heal battle wounds. Modern research has found that the oil has antibacterial qualities and can be used to prevent age spots and soften skin.
Tea tree oil -- Tea tree oil, or the oil of the Melaleuca tree, has been used for centuries in Australia. The oil is particularly renowned for its anti-bacterial and anti-septic qualities in treating minor cuts and abrasions, and for skin irritations such as acne.
Vitamin A -- Vitamin A has been used to treat acne, superficial wrinkles and age spots, and to promote healthy skin in general.
Vitamin E -- Vitamin E helps keep you looking younger by retarding cellular aging due to oxidation and helps prevent the formation of scars externally.
